A multifaith professional community supporting spiritual and ethical life in higher education

Washington DC 2018!!

Registration is NOW LIVE for the next NACUC Annual Conference February 19-21, 2018, with pre-conference activities February 18-19, 2018,  in Washington, DC, hosted by Howard University Office of the Dean of the Chapel. This year's theme: VOices from the Margins, will guide discussions of the chaplain's role in a polarized society.  As usual, this gathering will be marked by great collegiality, invaluable networking, stimulating presentations and useful information. An added bonus will be the opportunity to explore the spirituality of the National Museum of African American History and Culture.

Voices from the Margins: Marginal Presence, Magnified Power, Meaningful Peace
Our conference will seek to explore, recognize  and embrace the ways marginalization shows up in our lives, spiritual practices, culture, campuses, and attitudes. It will offer opportunities for dialogue and strategy building to support underrepresented groups, diverse needs and expressions, intersectionality, and hidden bias. Confirmed speakers include Marian Wright Edelman, Founder and President of the Children's Defense Fund and Michael Twitty, of Kosher Soul. Please explore our website for details on speakers, how to submit a workshop proposal, lodging, and more!
